I understand now more than ever what it means to not have time during the day. We all struggle with not enough time, but you don’t need a lot of time for a good workout. Luckily exercise is very versatile and there are so many ways to stay in shape.
After having my second son I didn’t realize how much time I actually had to myself with only having one kiddo verses multiple kiddos. Granted I don’t have near as much time as I did prior to children but this is life, we adjust, figure it out, and that’s where HIIT training comes in!
I know the majority women don’t have time in their day to take long one hour or more workouts. Sometimes, you may not have the mental energy to think about what you want to do for a workout. Since children, I don’t regularly go to the gym for an hour workout, it just can’t happen as frequent anymore. But, I’ve realized that I could get up in the morning and do a quick 10 minute workout before ever leaving the house or before the kids wake up! Now imagine if you could have a good powerful workout that could burn fat throughout the day too! Now wouldn’t that be amazing? Guess what? It’s 100% possible, I’m talking about high intensity interval training or HIIT.
If you haven’t tried a Tabata yet you’re missing out. Tabata’s run for 4 minutes, 20 seconds on and 10 seconds rest for a total of 8 rounds. Yes, that’s it, just 4 minutes for an amazing fat burning workout. With Tabata’s you can target any muscle group you choose and it will be very effective at burning fat it you push hard. That’s the key to Tabata’s, push hard for every 20 second interval.
Here’s one Tabata you can do in the morning that hits your quads, glutes, abdominals, chest, and arms. Repeat this Tabata two-times for a total workout time of 8-minutes!
Tabata (4 mins) repeat 2x
Push hard, smile, and enjoy that rush of endorphin’s! Let me know how that workout felt in the comments below.
Love, Tabitha
